When I first transferred to the ICU at Leigh I watched all of the different nurses and how they cared for their patients, as well as each other. I was so impressed with Sylvia's work ethic that I actually wrote a paper of tribute-of sorts to her. She was not distracted by the various peripheral distractions but always cared for her patients with a Florence Nightingale mindset. She was respected as a patient advocate and a Registered Nurse who was respected by her peers. Sylvia had her priorities right and I am certain I will see her again in Glory. I am only saddened that I did not get a chance to see her during the time near her passing. We will miss your fun personality at our monthly nurses lunches Slvia. May God bless your family with peace that only He can provide to His own.
