Precious Memories

Jim and I were second cousins.  My sisters, brother, and I remember visiting with Aunt Marie, Uncle Jack and their kids when we were young. Those times were always filled with fun and laughter.  We remember games of hide and seek and hopscotch and tag.  We remember Jim climbing out onto the roof to escape getting his cheeks pinched by a loving aunt.  We loved to kid him about that.

After our wedding, when my husband and I were ready to leave for the honeymoon, we discovered the car battery was dead.  Jim jumped the old battery, and took the car to the nearest gas station to get a new battery.  Because of his quick action, we were able to leave for our trip on time.  It was a kind gesture by a generous, thoughtful man.

Anyone who knew Jim knew he was devoted to his family.  He was a humble, loving person who made the world a kinder, gentler place.  He lived his faith, and he will be missed.  God bless Jim Gearheart.
