Gordon James "Jim" Gearheart, Jr., 68, of Virginia Avenue passed away March 15, 2015. Jim was born in Norfolk to the late, Jack and Marie Rossano Gearheart. Besides his parents he was predeceased by the love of his life, Nancy Denning and her daughter, Tracey Lewis. Jim attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and was a graduate of Maury High School; he currently serves on the Board of Directors for St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery; he retired as a warehouse manager with Norfolk Paint Company and for the last several years was employed with Greenbrier Florist
.
Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Jackie Hutcheson and her husband, Ray, Diane Yungk and her husband, Don, Joyce Barnes and her husband, Walter; and numerous nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

A service to celebrate his life will be held Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Norfolk. Following the graveside service the family invites you to 5917 Woodhaven Court, Va. Beach, 23464. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 6 to7:30 p.m. Please visit his book of memories at www.grahamfuneralhome.com to view the service if unable to attend and to leave words of encouragement to the family.
