Eddie, Roller Skating & Kempsville High School

Dear Family and Friends, I was a classmate and friend of Eddie's at Kempsville High School. Eddie was always a wonderful, kind gentle soul and such a gentleman. On either Friday nights or Saturday nights a group up of would meet to roller skate. We always had a great and fun time. Eddie was a very dedicated friend and for a long time we all lost contact with one another to reconnect via the Internet for the most of us. It was great hearing about Eddie a few years back and all of the progress he had made with his education as well as how much he loved working on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. Eddie shared great stories of his family and he dearly loved each one of you. He was so proud of his children and I know with your daddy's heartbeat in each one of you that you are shinning stars just like Eddie. He also talked about his enjoyment in his community with children and sports. Eddie was one great guy and I have no doubt that when Jesus arrived Eddie took his hand and went on up to rep the promised rewards in heaven. I feel sure just as he would sit patiently to skate that he will also be sitting right there on Heaven's Bench waiting for each one of you and his extended family and friends and his beloved wife. Fly high Eddie Black, Fly high, you will be greatly missed by all of us. A Kempsville High School grad is always a chief!!
