The Lord sent his son Jesus, for Eddie on January 15, 2015. He was born 1960 in Norfolk to Carolyn Beck Black and Elbert E. Black, Sr on his Dad's birthday January 18. Eddie graduated from Kempsville High School, and like his Dad he became a master electrician working in this trade for over 20 years. He has worked for 11 years with the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel District where he earned his degree and worked as a civil engineer. Eddie loved coaching all his "kids" in the Aragona-Pembroke Little League and the American Legion Baseball Team

Beside his parents left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Sharon Santos Black; his children, Edward, David (Chelsea), Stephen (Danielle), Krystal Lynn; a grandson, David Michael, II; along with a host of extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 12 noon at Virginia Heights Baptist Church, 1251 Kempsville Road, Norfolk with a service at 2 p.m. to celebrate his life with Pastor Gene Strickland officiating. At the request of the family in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Chicago, IL 60611-3201 or at pulmonaryfibrosis.org.
