Richard G. “Rosy” Rosenberry, 85, of Orville Avenue passed away July 30, 2014. A native of Dover, Ohio he was the son of the late Forrest and Mary Rosenberry. Dick served his country in the United States Navy retiring after 22 years of service, followed by a career with Virginia Natural Gas and retired after 21 years of service; he was also a member of the South Norfolk Masonic Lodge #339 AF and AM.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 54 years, Norma Ferebee Rosenberry; daughter, Rhonda Smith (Chris); sons, Richard G. Rosenberry, Jr. (Elaine) and Roger Rosenberry (Tina); four grandchildren, Connor, Lauren, Carson and Kristin.
A service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Graham Funeral Home with Rev. Amos Eby officiating. He will be laid to rest with full military honors at Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home on Friday, August 1, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. At the request of the family in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to CHKD or a charity of one’s choice.
