Obituary for Anna Louk

Anna Louk
Anna W. Louk, 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 8, 2018. She was born on September 13, 1926 to the late Thomas and Myrtle Weese of Beverly, West Virginia and was raised there with 9 other siblings. Her mother died when Anna was 17. Anna and her older sister, Maxine, helped raise their 6 younger brothers after their mother passed away. She graduated from high school as salutatorian and then went to work for CandP Telephone Company in Elkins, West Virginia. She retired after 42 years from the company which eventually became ATandT. She met her husband of 69 years, Kenneth H. Louk, at a square dance in West Virginia and they married in Norfolk, Virginia on July 29, 1948. She was a dedicated member of Colonial Baptist Church in Virginia Beach and a faithful supporter of Virginia Beach Theological Seminary.

Anna was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was an avid reader and a prayer warrior. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband Kenneth, her two sons; Dwayne Louk (Cathy) of Norfolk, VA and Douglas Louk (Mary) of High Point, NC. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Christopher Louk ( Rachael) of Winter Garden, FL, Brandon Louk (Sheila) of Woodside, NY, Hadden Louk ( Whitney) of Norfolk, VA., and Erin Dennis (Kevin) of Johnson City, TN., and two great granddaughters; Gwendolyn Dennis of Johnson City, TN and Sosie Louk of Norfolk, VA. She is also survived by one younger brother, Dwain Weese (Marge) of Ohio, whom she continued to raise after she married. Anna is also survived by many nieces and nephews, several of which were very dear to her heart. Much thankfulness is given to those special persons who were closest to Nana during her illness.

Anna will be laid to rest privately. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Anna’s name to Colonial Baptist Church of Virginia Beach or Virginia Beach Theological Seminary, 2221 Centerville Tpke, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Rd. Chesapeake, is caring for the arrangements. Please visit www.grahamfuneralhome.com to leave a note of condolence to the family.
