Melissa Setsu  Emerick
Melissa Setsu Emerick, 45, of Chesapeake went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2018. Melissa was born in Norfolk, Virginia to Charles and Catherine Emerick. She graduated from Norview High School in 1991. She started working for Bell Atlantic (Verizon) in 1992 where she created lifelong bonds with many of her co-workers. Melissa went on to work in a number of daycares in the Chesapeake area. Her patience, passion, and creativity shaped the young minds of the many children she encountered on a daily basis.

Melissa is survived by her parents, Charlie and Cathy; her sisters ,April (Shawn) Coleman, Angela (Suhrob Nabotov), and Heather (Sammy) Mitchell of Chesapeake. She will be greatly missed by the true joys of her life; her nieces and nephews, Paighton and Landon Coleman, Aubrey and Trey Mitchell, and Tobias Nabotov. She leaves behind a loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, godparents, a godchild, and many cherished friends.

There will be a visitation on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Rd, Chesapeake. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 472 N. Battlefield Blvd, Chesapeake. After the service, family and friends are welcome to food and fellowship at the church.
