Lucille Stocks Roebuck, 91, passed away February 6, 2018. Lucille was born in North Carolina to the late Joshua and Pearly Velma Stocks and was the loving wife of 65 years to the late James Clifton Roebuck. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Her devotion to the Lord was unwavering and everyone who knew her was impacted by her love for her family and the Lord. Lucille was a devoted Sunday School teacher for many years, cared for numerous children and was known for her wonderful goodies in the kitchen. She could make anyone laugh with her stories of the old days. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Rev. Ernest G. Roebuck (Pamela) and Joseph Clifton Roebuck (Margaret Ann); grandchildren, Tara Pass (Jay), Gil Roebuck (Camila), Jenny Smith (Charles), Suzanne Early (Jason), and Barbara Deaderick (Ryan); great-grandchildren, Carson, Tyler, and Kylie Pass, Clifton Roebuck, Jordan and Lydia Smith, much awaited baby, Brayden Early, and Walker and Quinn Deaderick; sister, Velma Purvis (Dalton); special cousins, Cherie Taylor and Barbara Mobley; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A service to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Woodland Heights Baptist Church, 529 Providence Road, Chesapeake. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Gideons International at www.gideons.org.
