James Allen  Sanderson Sr.
James Allen Sanderson, Sr. (Jimmy), 79, passed away July 9, 2017 after a brief illness. Jimmy was born in Lumberton, NC to the late James and Sarah Caulder Sanderson.
Jimmy was a drywall contractor for over 60 years. He was a member of the Prayer Warriors Sunday School class of Deep Creek Baptist Church. Jimmy was a Life Member of the Virginia Bass Masters Association. He was also an avid supporter of Ducks Unlimited and the Back Bay Wildlife Refuge.

Left to cherish his memory is loving wife, Joanne M. Sanderson; his daughter, Ruby Costanza and her husband Marvin; his sons, David K. Sanderson and his wife Esther, and James A. Sanderson, Jr.; his sisters, Helen Poore, Shelby Harris, Mary Scott and Cheryl Deel; his brother, Joe Benton; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services,1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Buddy Hoggard officiating, with a reception to follow. Memorial donations may be made in Jimmy's memory to Back Bay Wildlife Refuge 1324 Sandbridge Road Virginia Beach, VA 23456.
