Mildred Meekins Forehand, 90, a native of Norfolk County was one of triplets born to the late Marian and Bertha Meekins. Mildred worked in her younger days in sales; was a member of Kempsville Christian Church and a member of the Berkley Chapter #52 Order of the Eastern Star.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Calvin T. Forehand; sons, Garey Forehand (Monica), Jerry Forehand (Judi), and Terry Forehand (Angie); grandchildren, Melanie, Jarrad and Casandra; 5 great grandchildren; a sister, Doris Owens; and brother, Marvin Meekins.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the funeral home at 2 p.m. with Pastor Josh Childress and Pastor Randy Childress officiating. She will be laid to rest at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kempsville Christian Church, 5424 Parliament Dr, Virginia Beach, VA 23462 to the building fund “Restoration Hope”.
