Roy Chapman  Wilder
Roy Chapman Wilder, 81, passed away February 12, 2017. Roy was born to the late Johnnie and Oneda Hollomon and was the loving husband of 40 years to the late Peggy Wilder. He retired as a Safety Manager after 32 years with Texaco. After retirement, he worked for Federal Armored Express and Sentara Optima. Roy was a 32nd degree Mason with the Nansemond Masonic Lodge #77 in Suffolk, VA.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Karen Davenport (Jerry), Robin Tweedy (George), Richard Wilder (Susan), and Pamela Shumaker (Steve); eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Kuhlman and Judy Barnes; and a host of other family and friends.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church, 1200 Bainbridge Blvd, Chesapeake. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
