Herman Lee Jones, 87, of Chesapeake, passed away January 17, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. He was born to the late Herman C. and Florence Wood Jones. Herman was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a life member of Sunbeam Hunt Club.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 63 years, Mary Yates Jones; sons, David Jones (Sharron) and Kenny Jones (Becky); daughter, Carol Lynn Jones; 3 granddaughters; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm. A service to celebrate his life will be held Monday, January 23, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach.
