We lived on Indiana Ave, South Gate from around 1965 to 1975 and the Piper family lived a few houses down the street from us. Nancy and I became good friends during that time. When we came back from New Mexico (1985), we managed to reconnect for a short while, but somehow lost touch. Then, thanks to Facebook we reconnected , but were on either coast. I am sad we didn't get together more often. She was the type of friend that distance did not squelch a friendship. When we spoke on the telephone, we picked up right where we left off.
