Gloria Rae Morse Stewart, 84, passed away in Norfolk on September 26, 2016 at the age of 84 . Gloria was born in South Norfolk to the late Melvin Morse and Edith Joyner Morse Borum. She was reared by her paternal aunt and uncle, the late Jesse Warren Sawyer and Pearl Morse Sawyer. She was predeceased by her brother, Warren Lee Morse and her sister Joanne Morse More.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, William Frank Stewart; her children, Jessica Stewart Swearingen and her husband Jason, Amy Stewart Luke and her husband Steve; her grandchildren, Andrew Jordan, Stacey Elizabeth, James Warren and Malachi Michael; her brother, Joseph Borum and his wife, Teresa; her sister in law, Doris C. Morse; and five nieces and two nephews. Being quite a character herself, Gloria never met a stranger. She was a lifelong resident of her beloved South Norfolk and actively participated in the Woman''s Club of South Norfolk, The Red Hat Society, the SNCCC Truth Seekers Class, and the Fun Moms Recital Dance at the annual Pauline Bradshaw School of Dance recital. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services,1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 30, 2016 at 11:00 am at Riverside Memorial Park, with Pastor Jake Tromburg and Pastor Amos Eby officiating.
