CHESAPEAKE- Henry “Hank” Lennart departed this life, September 27, 2016. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 21, 1936. Hank served in the Army and Air Force Reserve for 9 years and retired from Lucent Technologies in New York City after 27 years of service. He was always ready to help those in need and contributed to many charities. Hank loved animals, especially his two cats, Stripes 1 who lived 21 years, and Stripes 2, his current cat of 8 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patricia; daughters, Denise Lennart, Cathy Lennart and grandson, Sean Hughes and Karen Tripolone and grandchildren, Jake and Madison Tripolone. He cherished his cousin, Delores Rowan, who was like a sister to him. His ready smile and loving ways will be missed.
Hank’s life will be celebrated at Graham Funeral Home on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 11 am presided over by Pastor Tim Craig, Great Bridge United Methodist Church and Father Brian Rafferty, St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church. A reception will follow at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk at 2 pm with military honors. The family wishes to thank Beth Karganilla, RN, Kindred Home, for her compassionate and loving ways. Charitable contributions in memory of Hank may be made to the American Cancer Society or Chesapeake Animal Shelter.
