Roy Bennett Taylor, 68, passed away September 19, 2016. Roy was born in Danville, VA to the late William and Mamie Parsons Taylor. He was a US Army veteran of Vietnam; a member and past president of the Deep Creek Ruritan Club; and Roy was an avid golfer. He attended Centerville Baptist Church and retired after many years of service from Electric Motor and Contracting Company, Inc. Besides his parents he was predeceased by children, Roy Jr., Ricky and Randy Taylor and his sister, Carol Barre.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Cheryl Taylor; children, Toni Taylor, Tina Taylor Heath, Wendy Stedman, Brandy San Agustin (Justin), C.J. Waller and Cara Waller ; grandchildren, Kristen, Wesley, Makenzie, Aidan, Maggie, and Sophia; great-grandchildren, Rhilyne and Brayden; sister, Brenda Crawford; brother, William Robert Taylor, Jr.; and numerous other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m.. A service to celebrate his life will be held Friday, September 23, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Centerville Baptist Church, 908 Centerville Turnpike, Chesapeake.
