Barbara Rhodes Cope, 72, passed away June 11, 2016. Barbara was born in Norfolk to the late Jasper and Josephine West Rhodes., Besides her parents she was predeceased by a son, Clay Lanyon; and a sister, Joann Harlow and brother, Wayne "Buddy" Rhodes. Barbara retired as a lead clerk with the Merita Bakery.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 26 years, James A. Cope; daughters, Kathleen Mundy (Jeff), Teresa Foreman (Mike) and Wanda Williams (Ronald); son, Ricky Lanyon; step-son, David Cope (Lee Ann); 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Sherman (Frank), June Stublin (JC) and Ruby White; brother, Michael Rhodes (Donna); special sister-in-laws, Patty Judd and Anita Lynn Rhodes; and dear friend, Mary Ellen Capps.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. A service to celebrate her life will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 11am at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Riverside Memorial Park.
