Obituary for Ellen Keesee Craver

Ellen Keesee Craver, 94, passed away April 24, 2016. Ellen was born in Java, VA to the late Ulumb and Alice Mays Keesee and was the loving wife of 57 1/2 years to the late Burke H. Craver. She was a graduate of the Duke University School of Nursing and Old Dominion University and a teacher at Portlock Elementary School for 28 years. Ellen was a longtime member of Raleigh Heights Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Martha E. Craver; sons, Burke H. Craver, Jr. (Dale) and John D. Craver (Sandra); grandchildren, Cori, David (Wendy), Barry, and Chandler (Ken); great-grandchildren, Kenny, Teagan, and Abbie; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Craver; nieces, Billie Mitchell and Emily Ragsdale (Tommy); nephews, Aubrey Hudson (Donna) and Chuck Craver; and a host of other family and friends.

A service to celebrate her life will be held Friday, April 29, 2016 at 3:30 pm at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
