Lucas Ray Ballard passed away on February 1, 2016 at the age of 9.

Lucas went to Moyock Elementary School and he was a member of the Boy Scouts Troop # 413. He enjoyed being outdoors especially when he was go-karting , hunting, and working on cars.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Shannon Lynn Ballard; his stepfather, Jimmy Peterson; his stepbrother C.J. Peterson; his grandparents, Minnie "Nana" Ballard-Miller and Emery "Grandpa" Miller; his aunt and uncle, Robin Ballard Anderson and Bobby Anderson; his cousins, Kaleb and Logan Ballard; his special aunt, Jeannie Redditt and many other loving family members and friends.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home,1112 Kempsville Road , on Sunday, February 7, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be held at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Monday, February 8 at 11 a.m. with Pastor James Harrington officiating. Burial will follow at Rutter Family Cemetery, 700 Ballahack Road, Chesapeake, VA.
