Elizabeth "Betty" K.  Jones
NORFOLK- Elizabeth “Betty” K. Jones, passed away at home into the arms of Jesus Christ, January 28, 2016. She was born June 12, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Joseph and Luella Kania. Betty was an honor graduate of Norview High School as well as Old Dominion University School of Nursing. She retired from DePaul Hospital, Norfolk as a Registered Nurse. Betty was also a member of Tabernacle Church of Norfolk where she taught Sunday School for a number of years. She also taught Bible Studies for the Christian Women’s Club. Betty volunteered at the free Medical Clinic in Norfolk and was a member of the Sharing Circle of Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 56 years, Charles R. Jones; son, Charles Wesley “Wes” Jones & his wife, Melissa and grandson, Gunnar Wesley Jones. She will be missed by many other loving family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 1 pm at Tabernacle Church, 7000 Granby Street, Norfolk, VA. A reception will immediately follow at the church.
