Maudie Lee Young, 85, passed away January 5, 2016. Maudie was born in Baker County, Georgia to the late Joseph and Lorene Bailey Whitlock and was the loving wife of 67 years to the late Arnold Lee Young, Sr. She was a longtime member of the Portsmouth Moose Lodge 898 and a former Senior Regent of the Women of the Moose Chapter 966, a member of the Davis Corner Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and the Red Hat Society.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Arnold Lee Young, Jr. and Randy Alan; grandchildren, Jessica, Kathryn, Autumn Brooke, and Randy "Petie"; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 1-3 pm. A service to celebrate her life will be held Monday, January 11, 2016 at 1 pm at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dr. E. Clifton Whitlock officiating.
