VIRGINIA BEACH- Kenneth Eugene Smith, Jr., 55, went to be with his Lord, November 20, 2015. He was born in Hamburg, IA to the late Kenneth E. Smith, Sr. and Dora Lea Smith. Kenneth was a member of Harvest Assembly of God and the Senior Commander of Royal Rangers Outpost #158. He was an avid reader who enjoyed music and was extremely proud of his children’s musical accomplishments. Kenneth was a loving husband, father and friend.
Besides his mother, left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 26 years, Charlita Ann Smith; children, Alexandra, Nicholas and Serena; sisters, Janet Orme (Rusty) and Elizabeth Schomerus (Kevin); many nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 11am at Graham Funeral Home, Chesapeake with Pastor David Addesa officiating. Burial will follow at 3pm at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5pm.
