CHESAPEAKE-Frederick Eli Congleton, Jr., 94, passed away November 9, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving wife, Nina M. and son, Frederick L. (Sandra). He was predeceased by his parents, Helen and Frederick E. Congleton, Sr. and sister, Jeanette Williams. Frederick proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired from Dominion Virginia Power after 35 years of faithful service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Norfolk and served as an usher for 17 years.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 71 years, Nina M.; son, Frederick L. (Sandra); grandson, Jason (Mimi); sister, Winifred Vogl; sister-in-law, Bert Miller; great-granddaughters, Arriana and Mia; and several cousins and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Freda H. Gordan Hospice of Tidewater for their loving care.

A graveside service with military honors to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk with Rev.
