Lillie Henley Brothers, 91, passed away September 25, 2015 at her home with her family by her side. Lillie was born in Norfolk to the late John and Etta Cummings Henley and was the loving wife of the late Herbert G. Brothers. Lillie was a member of South Norfolk Baptist Church and a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Friendship Chapter #57.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Anne McMillan (Tommy); son, J. David Brothers (Robbin); grandchildren, Curtis McMillan (Janet), Kelly Kitchens (John), Mary Beth Hackworth (David), Jessica Jorde (Eric) and Gray Brothers; eight great-grandchildren; the family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the love and care given by Betty Houston.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Monday, September 28, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Riverside Memorial Park, 1000 Indian River Road, Norfolk. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to South Norfolk Baptist Church, 1101 Chesapeake Avenue, Chesapeake, VA 23324.
