John Wesley  Fentress Jr.
John Wesley Fentress, Jr. passed away September 12, 2015. John was born in Norfolk to the late, Ida Toxey Fentress and John Wesley Fentress, Sr. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a son, John Wesley Fentress, III; and sisters, Grace Courtney and Ida Calvin. Johnny was a veteran of the United States Army, then retired from Southland Appliance. He enjoyed fishing and cooking, he loved planning meals for family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory is his brother, Bert Fentress and his wife, Jenell; Johnny's former wife, Gloria Hammond-Fentress; devoted niece, Theresa LaPoint, niece, Debbie Courtney ; nephew, John W. Dailey; step-children, Todd Guthrie and Sharon Courtney; step-grandchild, Ricki-Ann; other family members and friends; also his canine companion and sidekick, Little Bit.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 1 pm at Riverside Memorial Park, 1000 Indian River Road, Norfolk.
