Chief Robert A. Vincent (Skip) age 61 went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2015. Robert is survived by his wife of 41 years Pamela L. Vincent of Virginia Beach; his son, Joshua Aaron, daughter, Meghan Elise and grandson Liam Calvin all of Richmond, Virginia. He was the eldest son of the late Robert P. Vincent and Shirley G. Vincent of Lake Placid New York and five siblings, Deanna Clark, Therese Martin, Kelly, Vance and Christopher Vincent.

He dedicated his life to his family and proudly served as a distinguished serviceman for 23 years in the United States Navy. Chief Vincent was a veteran from the Vietnam War through Operation Desert Storm and Shield. After his naval career he obtained his degree and worked with various local radio personalities as a technical engineer at WNIS Radio. He also worked for American Systems Corporation for 12 years, based out of the Naval Air Station NOB in support of our armed forces both at home and abroad. An avid outdoorsman from youth and an excellent marksman he looked forward to hunting season with his close friend David Stump of Charlotte County, Virginia. He will be greatly missed by his family and all that knew him in life.

Chief Vincent will lie in state at the Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, Virginia. His family will receive guests Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 6-7:30 pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Virginia Beach Free Will Baptist Church, 210 S. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach. Following the service he will be laid to rest with full military honors at 2:30 p.m. at the Albert G Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, Virginia.
