Mildred Fischer Constable, 83, went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2014. Mildred was born in Lansdale, PA to the late Martin and Viola Fischer and was the loving wife of 35 years to the late John Constable. She was a graduate of Grandview Hospital School of Nursing in Sellersville, PA and proudly served in the United States Navy with the rank of Lieutenant (JG). Mildred worked for over 25 years in civil service, primarily at Portsmouth Naval Hospital and was a retired Registered Nurse; she was an active member of Portlock United Methodist Church and the "Holly Point Ladies" crochet circle, who donate their time and talent making hats and baby blankets for Chesapeake Regional Medical Center and was a member of the Niner's Seniors Club of Chesapeake. She loved to play Scrabble and was the family champion. Mildred was respected and admired by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Frank Constable, Shirley Johnson and her husband, Dewayne, Mary Mattson and her husband, Matt, Sharon Hostler and her husband, David, and Linda Jones; grandchildren, Jason Johnson, Ernie Scherger III, Marie Phillips, Travis Johnson, Matthew Mattson, and Laura Jones; and great-grandchildren, Austin and Alyssa Phillips; brother, David Fischer and his wife, Jean; and a host of other family and friends.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at 11:00 am at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bob Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
