Obituary for Margaret Ann Hardesty

Margaret Ann  Hardesty
Margaret Ann Hardesty, 83, passed away Friday, August 01, 2014 after an extended illness with her family at her side. Maggie, as she was known by many of her friends was a native of Norfolk and lived here most of her life. She was the oldest daughter of Thomas V. and Mary Susan Sanderlin. Margaret worked at Richmond International Raceway for 32 years and managed the ticket office. She loved flowers, working in her yard, her trips to Dover and traveling. Maggie was very family oriented and extremely proud of any achievement they were involved in.
She is survived by her three daughters, Lynn Cone (Wayne), Nancy Blankenship (Roby) and Pam Small (Phil); seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Graham Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Pastor Pete Taylor officiating with a reception to follow in the funeral home reception center. She will be laid to rest at Rosewood Memorial Park.
