Obituary for Patsy Ann Davis (Lassiter)

Patsy Lassiter Davis, 69, passed away July 22, 2014. Patsy was born to the late Theodore C. and Bessie Jones Lassiter and was the loving wife of Edward "Ray" Davis. She was a member of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church for over 40 years and was a longtime member of the choir, Dorcas Sunday School Class, Women''s Fellowship, Joanna Circle and Gertrude Bunch Circle. She served on the Board of Deacons, the Missions Committee, as a Sunday School Teacher, Awana leader and church clerk. Pat loved to do all sorts of crafts, travel, cooking, serving her community, but most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.
Besides her husband, left to cherish her memory are son, Edward "Eddie" Davis Jr.; daughters, Janet D. Rowland and her husband, Ralph, and Rebekah "Becky" Fox and her husband, Michael; grandchildren, Wyatt, Vanden, Justin, Zachary, Stephanie and Mary. As well as a host of beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings, Sally Fitzgerald, Margaret Doxey, Judy Lewis and Richard "Dick" Lassiter.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 3:00 pm at South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church, Chesapeake, with Pastor Amos Eby officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 6:00pm -7:30 pm at Graham Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
