I met Betty and Joe about 4 years ago. I had recently retired to the area and met thier granddaughter Betty-Jo and we became very good friends. In this family that means alot, and I was welcomed by the whole family as a friend. Soon I met Betty Jo's beloved Grandparents and I immediately noticed the smiles on thier faces and twinkling in their eyes. It was clear to see these two were still deeply in love and very happy. One night we stopped by to visit and Joe was going out square dancing, still young at heart! Knowing the Parrishs was such a gift. Stories of the grandparent's love, guidance and strength were often shared and frequent visits to thier home were looked forward too by all the friends and family.
