Betty Jean  Boykin
Betty Jean Boykin, 73, passed away May 1, 2018. Betty was born in Richmond, Virginia to the late Clarence and Cynthia King Craven. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Samuel Craven. She was formerly a 4th grade teacher at Victory Christian School; a substitute teacher for Chesapeake Public Schools; and was later a supervisor at the Ford Motor Company Norfolk Assembly Plant where she retired after 16 years of service. Betty was a loving mother to her two sons and children that she fostered. She also had a love for camping.

Left to cherish her memory is her sons, Craig M. Kirby (Kris) and Brad E. Kirby (Fran); grandchildren, Kylie and Kinsey Kirby and Morgan and Logan Moulton; and her sister, Juanita Bailey.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, 524 Cedar Rd. Chesapeake, VA 23322.
