Obituary for Rob Charles Buttrum

Rob C. Buttrum, 57, of Chesapeake, VA died of complications while at Sentara Heart Hospital, on February 21, 2018 with his daughter Amy present.

Rob is survived by his daughters, Amy Hamby of Concord, NC, and Michelle Fleming and her children, Josiah (9) Justin (6) and Jasmyn (7 mo.) all of Virginia Beach, VA; mother Verda Marchesseault; sister, Julie Evans; and brother, Jeff Buttrum; and their families all of Indianapolis, IN.

Rob was a passionate father, grandfather, brother, son, and great friend to many. He had an amazing illustrious career at Plasser American Corporation that spanned nearly 30 years. Rob was an avid deep sea fisherman and loved to travel with his family. He will be missed by family, friends, and colleagues.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake with a reception to follow. The family will receive friends on hour prior to the funeral service. All are welcome to attend to celebrate Rob's life. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) in Rob's name.
