Irene Marie Lewis, 62, went to be with Jesus January 30, 2018. Irene was born in Brunswick, Maine to the late Jack and Theresa Balanger Raffeld. She had a passion for entertaining and raising children. Irene attended Atlantic Shores Baptist Church.

Besides the many people she loved and cared for, left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 43 years, John G. Lewis; children, John G. Lewis, Jr. (Jill) and Marianne Beth Bynum (Bradley); grandson, Douglas Bynum and a much awaited for granddaughter on the way; brother, James Raffeld (Patricia); step-brother, Michael Balanger; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
