Irma Mellberg Reffner, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 4, 2017. Irma was born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Adolph and Nina Cherry Mellberg and was the loving wife of the late Everett Elwood Reffner. Irma retired as a cafeteria manager with Chesapeake Public Schools, and was a deaconess and faithful member of Rosemont Christian Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughters, Ruth Harper and Susan Gable and her husband, Bill; grandchildren, Erin Brown, Ben Harper, Jon and Jeff Gable; great-grandchildren, Jade, Brenden, Izzy, and Kaitlyn Gable and Miles and Levi Brown. Irma is also survived by family members, Stan, Cheryl, Wil, Walt, Preston, Penny, Ethan, and Brendan Best; Larry North, Sharon McGraw, Elise Uhring, and Michelle Barker.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A service to celebrate her life will be held Friday, December 8, 2017 at 12 p.m. Noon at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Gorgans officiating.
