Virginia Kovacs Spain, 81, passed away November 27, 2017. Virginia was born in Currituck, North Carolina to the late Charles, Jr. and Margaret Banks Kovacs and was the loving wife of the late Beryl Lee Spain. Virginia loved to read, embroider, and was one of George Straits' biggest fan. Virginia was a longtime and faithful member of Rivercrest Christian Fellowship, even earning the nickname "Mama" from the congregation. Family meant everything to her and she doted on her kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, James Cope; Cheryl Tolbert (Anthony); Patricia Judd; Michelle Cardosi; and Pam Adams (Kirk); grandchildren, Christopher, June, David, Bettie Sue, and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Virginia, Faith, Dakota, Emma, Addie, Hailey, Isabell, Kendell, Carlina, and Bentley; brother, George Lawrence Kovacs (Peggy); sisters, Goldie Cullen (Bill), Mary Ann Gibbs (Arnold) and Elizabeth Bunn (John); and a host of other family and friends.

A service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Rivercrest Christian Fellowship,1510 Campostella Road, Chesapeake. Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Rivercrest Christian Fellowship.
