Edna Marie Boykin went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2017 at the age of 87. Edna was born to the late Cornelius " Connie" and Alberta Owen Pridgen and was the loving wife for 68 years to the late Clarence Brutus Boykin.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gayle Patrice Wise and husband Don, Susan Marie Caroon and husband Norman, Clarence Todd Boykin and wife Tammy, and Bridgette Leann Boykin; in addition her grandchildren, Angel, Michael, Drew, Regina, Joey, Shannon and Samantha; as well as her 14 great grandchildren; her brother, Ronald Pridgen and wife Glenda; and her sister, Dorothy Wheeler.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 1p.m. at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake with Pastor James Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens with a reception at the funeral home at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
