Antoinette Barbarisi Charles, 90, Antoinette passed away peacefully on August 26, 2017 after an extended illness. She was a native of Norfolk but resided in Chesapeake for the last 19 years. She worked in the family business Charles Signs and Displays thru 1973 and then went on to work for the Department of Defense/Civil Service until she retired in 1992. Antoinette was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Cambridge Square Senior Club.

Her husband Wilbur, mother Carolina, father Alphonso and sisters Filomena and Mary Helen, predeceased her. She was also predeceased by many loving “four-legged” companions over the years, her favorite being her “special boy” Frisco.

Left to cherish her memory is daughter, Carolette Charles Reisner and son-in-law, Mark; grandchildren Ashley, Joe and Kara; five great-grandchildren; niece, Patricia and family; numerous cousins and many friends that include her very special “Bingo Ladies” Lee, Ethel and Betty.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake. A reception at the funeral home will immediately follow. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewater Bichon Frise Rescue, P.O. Box 8084, Suffolk, VA. 23438.
