Laura Woolard Parker
On July 25, 2017, Laura Ann Woolard Parker joined her husband, Randolph Paul Parker, in Heaven. Together, they are singing praises to their Lord. Laura was born to Anna G. and Obery H. Woolard on July 19, 1931. She was raised in Rocky Mount along with her four brothers, James, George, Wayne, and Charles Woolard. Laura and Randolph resided in various places such as Charleston, SC; Cambridge, MA; Rocky Mount, NC; Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Sheppards, and Chesapeake, VA. Her greatest passion was her home in Chesapeake, where they resided for more than 40 years.
Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will miss her beautiful smile, her insistance to give hugs to all, and her delight to share cute jokes. They are James Randolph Parker (Barbara), Linda Parker St. John (Bill), Robbie St. John (Channing), Randy St. John (Christina), Erica St. John, Destiney Whiteside, and Chase St. John.
Known for her passion to hunt for bargains, the GoodWill and DAV stores have lost their most loyal customer.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery, Nashville, North Carolina, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017.
