Obituary for Camille L. Watson

Camille Lee Watson, 92, passed away July 10, 2017 at Spring Arbor Assisted Living, Kill Devil Hills, NC. She was the loving wife of the late, Jay M. Watson. She was also predeceased by her son, Walter L. Stewart, III and son-in-law, Ronald Umphlett. Camille was a member of the Chesapeake Seventh Day Adventist. Camille was an avid photographer, she herself had beautiful blue eyes and red hair and in 1948 in Washington DC won the "Queen for the Day" contest. Camille was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was known for her strong belief in God and was always willing to help others.
She is survived by her daughters, Cammie Umphlett and Gladys Goree and her wife, Carol Marts; son, David A. Stewart and his wife, Linda; daughter-in-law, Maralyn Stewart; sister, Ann Sessoms; 10 grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake. A service to celebrate her life will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk.
