Verda L. Pierce, 95, was lovingly cared for by her grandchildren until she was called home by our Lord on July 5, 2017. Verda was predeceased by her loving husband, E. L. “Leck” Pierce and daughters, Anna Jones and Margaret Herron. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and Co-owner of Art and Verda’s Beauty Salon.

Those who will cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Debra Peed, Chuck Jones, Anna Carter (Charlie) all of Chesapeake, Perry Edwards (Janet) of Eden, NC and Timothy Edwards (Kathy) of Hickory, NC; 19 great-grandchildren, 26 great, great-grandchildren and five great, great, great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake. A graveside service will be held at Riverside Memorial Park on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 3 p.m. with Pastor Joe Huxford officiating.
