Mary Jean Cuthrell, 88, passed away July 5, 2017. Jean was born in Hickory, NC to the late Arthur and Eva Rogers Poovey. Besides her parents she was also predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Seth T. Cuthrell; brother, Jack Poovey and great-granddaughter, Megan Aubee. Jean was a longtime supporter and member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church, Chesapeake.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Stephen Cuthrell and his wife, Linda; granddaughters, Paula Wilkerson (Bobby) and Stacey Aubee (Paul); great grandchildren, Alan Ingram, Ben Wilkerson, Bethany Aubee, Kassidy Wilkerson and Lillian Aubee; and great great-grandchild, Aiden Owen..

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake. A service to celebrate her life will be held Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Crehan officiating. She will be laid to rest in a private service on Monday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
