Pattie E. Sawyer of Chesapeake, born in Currituck County, NC, went home to be with the Lord on June 7,2017 at the age of 93. She was born to Marvin and Pattie Robertson and was married to the love of her life, Rev. Jack D. Sawyer, for over 70 years.

Her memory will be cherished by her daughter, Pamela Whittaker (Sherman) and son, Jack C. Sawyer, both of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren, Eddie Smith III, Ginger Mahler, and Jay Sawyer; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister in the Lord and best friend, Lilly Mae Harrison, along with a host of other family and friends. Pattie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, but more importantly, Patty’s love and dedication to the Lord and her church family at Westover Pentecostal and Living Water Church of God was evident in the way that she served them for over 60 years.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Rd., Chesapeake, VA on Friday, June 9 from 6- 7:30 p.m. A service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, June 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Living Water Church of God, presided by Rev.
