Obituary for Deborah Ann Matson

Deborah Ann Matson
Deborah Ann Matson, 61, from Marlborough, Massachusetts, courageously lost the battle to carcinoma May 10, 2017. Anyone that knew Deb, or "Mrs. Debbie", would easily describe her as a strong, dedicated woman. She was a loyal friend, a loving wife, and a fiercely devoted mother. Deb loved life and lived it fearlessly, enjoying every day to the fullest. Everything about the water made Deb happy, whether it be long days at the beach, enjoying her pool, watering her beautiful gardens and flowers, or even an afternoon rain shower while sitting on her porch. Deb worked for Chesapeake Public Schools for almost twenty years as a Special Needs Bus Assistant. Her kind heart and strong soul were always a helpful presence, not only at work, but at home as well.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Edward Matson; sons, Jesse Butler, Joshua Matson, and Roland Baldelli (Elizabeth); daughter, Rachel Butler; grandchildren, Adrianna and Sofia; and a host of other family and friends. As this hard time passes, Deb will always be remembered as a beautiful, strong and selfless woman. A woman who went above and beyond to show everyone who she truly was, inside and out. She will never be forgotten for the amazing person she was and the loving mother she will always be.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Saturday, May 20, from 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Lung Association at www.lung.org in her memory. Please visit her book of memories at www.grahamfuneralhome.com to leave a condolence to the family.
