Efren Benasahan Gonzales, 69, passed away April 29, 2017. Efren was born in San Francisco, Iriga City, Philippines to the late Jesus and Patrocenia Benasahan Gonzales and was the loving husband of the late Edith Gonzales. He was a US Navy Veteran of Vietnam and retired as a MS1. Efren was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church for many years.

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Fe Ramos and Annabelle Lachama; brother, Jesus Sarto Gonzales, Jr.; niece, Fatima Eizaguirre, her husband,Randy and their children, Renz, Ron, and Faye; niece, Joana Villanueva, her husband, Arthur and their children, Ethan and Elle; nephew, Jose Ramos, Jr., his wife, Cheryl and their children, Jeremy and Jericho; special cousin, Lilibeth Gonzales; and a host of other family and friends.

The Holy Rosary will be said Friday, May 5, 2017 at 6 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake. Catholic prayers will be offered on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home following prayers. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home.
