Jane Borsari O'Leary, 69, passed away April 23, 2017. Jane was born in Washington, D.C. to the late George & Sara Totten Dunning Borsari. She was also preceded in death by her Aunt Jo. She had a long life dedicated to serving and protecting animals, starting with her career as the first female animal control officer in Virginia Beach, a veterinary assistant at Greenbrier Veterinary Clinic for 24 years, and a lifetime of animal rescue. Jane was extremely creative and spent considerable time in various pursuits including sewing, embroidering, knitting, and cake decorating. She especially enjoyed her time scrapbooking and card-making with her "Doing It With Ink" Ladies. Above all, Jane never met someone that she didn't consider family and she was a "Mama Bear" who protected anyone who needed it. She was strong in her beliefs, fierce in her love, and mighty in her wrath.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of nearly 48 years, John "Larry" O'Leary; children, Patrick (Denise), Michael (Susan), Shannon (Brian), & Sara Jane (Robert); her cherished grandchildren, JP, Damien, Robert, Jackson, Joshua, Graham, Spencer, & Margaret; brothers, Bob (Anne), Tom (Dana), her twin brother, John (Marilyn), & Jim (Sharon); numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins; and a tribe of other family & friends.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake.
