Vivian Pugh Pierce on her 94th birthday, April 16, 2017 went home to be with her Lord on Easter. Vivian was born in Erwin, Tn to the late Sylvester and Minnie Wilson Pugh. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, John E. Pierce Sr. and her son Daniel S. Pierce. She was a member of South Norfolk Baptist Church , Women's Club of South Norfolk, first Seniors Club of Portlock, Berkley Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and former PTA president at Rena B. Wright Elementary School.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving sons, John E. Pierce, Jr. and his wife, Doris Ann and Timothy L. Pierce; grandchildren, John H. Pierce (Robin), Jeffrey A. Pierce ( Karen) and Daniel J. Pierce; and 6 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 7 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake. She will be laid to rest on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church, 1030 Jackson Avenue Chesapeake, 23324.
