On Friday April 7, 2017 we lost an amazing man, Gary H. O'Dell at the age of 60. Gary was born in Norfolk, Virginia to Gerald and the late Beatrice O'Dell and was a member of Seaboard Masonic Lodge # 56 A.F. and A.M. Gary was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was very dedicated to his family, friends, and work. He enjoyed his work, fishing, golfing and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 43 years, Linda O'Dell; daughter, Wendy Tehan, son, Shawn O'Dell; son-in-law, Louis Tehan; grandchildren, Kaylie O'Dell, Olivia Tehan, Ava Tehan; father, Gerald O'Dell; and step-mother, Donna O’Dell.

Gary spent over 40 years on the waterfront of the shipyards where he earned great respect, made many friends, and built lifelong relationships. Not only did he consider these people friends, he thought of them all as family. Because of his meticulous nature, Gary was the go-to guy for every project. If you wanted it done right, you went to Gary.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday April 19, 2017 at 6pm at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Rd, Chesapeake.
