Florence Almer “Snooks” Bryant Harrell, 86, was born October 4, 1930 in the South Norfolk, VA to the late Elmer L. Bryant, Sr. and Florence Holbrook Layton Bryant. She went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 27, 2017 while in her home under the loving care of her daughters. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband Mark James “Jack” Harrell, Jr. and her brother, Elmer L. Bryant, Jr.

Mrs. Harrell was a long-time member of South Norfolk Baptist Church, served many years as a Sunday school teacher and was active in numerous church activities. She was an avid reader who especially loved reading her Bible and anything Scripture-based. Mrs. Harrell collected many Bible commentaries and read them all cover to cover. She and her husband loved camping and being in nature and she saw God’s hand in all its beauty.

Harrell; 3 grandchildren, Anisa Glowczak and her husband, Steve, Amy Lehman and her husband, Eric and Alan Prescott, Jr. and his wife, Shelley; 4 great-grandchildren, Emily Rose Lehman, Alan “Trey” Prescott III, Kyra Ann Glowczak and Callie Dale Prescott; sister, Georgia E. The family wishes to thank the dedicated caregivers of Home Instead and Compassionate Care Hospice for their kindness, compassion, and spiritual support to our mother and our family.
