Obituary for Judith Virginia Cooper (Hudson)
Judith Virginia Cooper, 85, of Virginia Beach went to be with her Lord March 6, 2017. Judith was born December 22, 1931 in Wenona, North Carolina to the late Elijah and Blanche Hudson. Judy was the Matriarch of the family, and alongside her husband owned and operated Cooper Charter Bus. She loved making porcelain dolls, gardening, and bingo. But most of all, she loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert "Whitey" Cooper, Sr.; Sons, Robert "Bobby" Cooper, Jr., and Gary Cooper; and a grandson, Michael Joyner.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Treva Whitley and her husband, Dennis; daughter-in-law, Janet; grandchildren, Ashleigh (Jill), Brian and Bobby (Sharon); great-grandchildren, Brittany, Haley, Macie and Marleigh; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.
The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 6 to 7:30pm. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Libengood officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
